Preparation
Before commencing, our experts ensure a calm and clean environment to enhance relaxation and ensure safety. The skin is gently cleansed to prepare it for the cups.
Using Alcohol as a Flammable Substance
Alcohol, known for its clean burn and predictable flame, is our chosen flammable substance. A small amount is carefully poured onto a piece of cloth or cotton ball, which is then ignited to create a controlled flame.
Suction Creation
As the ignited cloth or cotton ball is placed momentarily inside a glass cup, it consumes the oxygen, creating a vacuum. Once the flame is extinguished, the cup is promptly positioned upside down on the skin. This quick transition ensures that the skin isn’t in contact with the flame but benefits from the created vacuum.
Therapeutic Reaction
The vacuum effect causes the skin to gently rise and redden, signaling the dilation of blood vessels. This process boosts blood circulation, driving oxygen and nutrients to the targeted muscle tissues and promoting healing.
Duration of Application
Depending on individual needs and the specific condition being addressed, the cups may be left in place for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes.
Glide Technique
In certain sessions, before placing the cups, a light oil may be applied to the skin, allowing the cups to glide smoothly over the surface. This movement provides a form of deep-tissue massage, further enhancing relaxation and therapeutic effects.
Post-Session Care
Once the session concludes, the cups are gently removed, and the skin is cleansed and moisturized. Patients often describe a sensation of relaxation and rejuvenation post-session, with visible cupping marks fading within a week.
